Bark reddish brown, smooth; leaves cordate, lower usually palmately-3-lobed, upper often entire and ovate, 10-20 cm X8-18 cm, lobes triangular; flowers yellow, with crimson-centre, 7-10 cm diam., 1-3 together at the end of long, axillary or terminal peduncle; capsules ovoid, pointed, woody, villose, dull black, 2-3 cm long; seeds glossy, many, dark brown or black, club-shaped, 3 mm long. |
