Description

An erect shrub up to 2.0 m high. Stems rather stout, pubescent when young, with a strong characteristic odour; leaves 3_5 lobed, serrate, 4-8 cm long; flowers greenish purple in pendulous racemes; berries globose, 8 mm in diam., black, with a strong aromatic smell and taste.
