Description |

A floating aquatic, stoloniferous herb. Leaves sessile, ovate to obovatecuneate, densely pubescent; spathe 2-4 cm long, tubular at its base, free and spreading above, slightly constricted above the middle; flowers minute, sessile on a spadix; fruits ovoid to ellipsoid, green, crowned by persistent style; seeds few to many, oblong or ovoid with a broad top. |
