Description |

A succulent, robust, perennial herb, up to 1.5 m high. Leaves elliptic-ovate or lanceolate; flowers whitish, greenish or pinkish in opposite or terminal racemes; fruit purple or black, consisting of c. 10 single-seeded, nearly free carpels; seeds kidney shaped, blue-black. |
