Leaves with blades ovate to broadly elliptic-ovate, 7.8-13 cm long, 6-10.2 cm wide, glabrous, margins entire, base shallowly cordate, petioles with 4-6 usually paired, globose nectaries 1-2 mm in diameter, stipules broadly ovate, 18-35 mm long. Flowers campanulate, 7-10 cm in diameter; hypanthium 0.6-0.9 cm long; sepals and petals white or white tinged pink or purple; corona banded with purple, filamentous, wavy, ca. 3 cm long. Berries green at maturity, oblong, 20-30 cm long, 10-20 cm wide, aril white or grayish.
