A small to medium-sized tree, sometimes attaining a height of 21m. and a girth of 1.8 m. Bark dark grey or pale brown, exfoliating in corky scales; leaves elliptic-oblong, ovate or obovate, glossy, coriaceous; flowers in umbels or corymbs, white or pale greenish yellow; fruits globose-ellipsoid, black when ripe. |
