A small, much-branched evergeen tree or shrub. Leaves opposite, sub-sessile, oblong, elliptic or ovate-oblong, 3-6 in. long, coriaceous, glaucous; flowers in large corymbose terminal cymes, small, numerous, white or pinkish, fragrant; berries black, globose, 0.25 inch in diam., somewhat didymous; seeds plano-convex. |
