A large variable, spiny, erect or scandent shrub. Leaves broadly ovate, sub-acute or obtuse, slightly emarginate at apex; flowers white, in terminal corymbose cymes; berries spherical or ellipsoid, purple, 8-25 mm long, normally four seeded. |
