Rhizome long, slender, many-jointed from which numerous fibrous rootlets emanate; stem 30-60 cm, very slender, densely tufted at the base, erect or ascending; leaves flat (convolute when dry) 2-3 mm broad, smooth, glabrous or puberulous above; spikes slender, 7.5-15.0 cm, erect, spikelets 5-6 flowered, oblong, very pale, quite glabrous, internodes of rachilla short, nearly glabrous; glumes rather spreading. |
