A medium sized deciduous tree up to 15 m tall. Leaves large, simple 17 to 60 cm long and 10 to 30 cm wide, obovate to oblong. Flowers small, dull greenish yellow, dioecious, in terminal hairy panicle. Fruits drupe 2.5 cm long, obliquely ovoid, black when ripe, orange-coloured, receptacle (hypocarp). |
