Luo Han Guo is a perennial vine, cultivated in northern Guangxi of China. Its dried fruits are ellipse or round, with brown or snuff surface and abundant small pale and black hairs. The glycosides in Luo Han Guo mainly as triterpene glycosides,part of compounds of cucurbitane type, the collecting of saponins. It includes Mogrosides II, III, IV, V, VI, siamcroside I,11-oxo-Mogroside and neomogroside, etc. Triterpenoid glycoside V in Luo Han Guo is the major composition for sweetener.
