A strongly aromatic, erect, much- branched shrub, 0.9-2.4 m. high. Leaves opposite, ovate-oblong or lanceolate, crenulate or crenate; flowers small, purplish or pink, scented, in dense capitate or sub-capitate spike; fruits globose, dry, splitting into two 1-seeded pyrenes. |
