A sub-erect shrub, more often a woody climber, up to 20 m. in length and 25 cm. in diam. Bark yellowish brown with small rough lenticels; leaves imparipinnate: leaflets obovate, oblong to elliptic; flowers in axillary recemes, whitish or brownish; pods strap-shaped, hard.
