Leaves mostly simple, occasionally trifoliolate, the two lower leaflets small or reduced to auricles or frequently wanting; flowers white, sweet scented, borne in pubescent, compound, many-flowered and lax cymes; corolla lobes 5-8, elliptic; carpels solitary, globose, black.
