Small fern 4- in. high very much like a miniature palm; cuadex oblique stipes densely tufted, 2-4 in. high, scaly; fronds like leave of a small palm, fan-like; segments dichotomous, radiating narrowly-linear, rush-like in texture, Veins not many and parallel with indistinct midrib; segments of fertile frond longer than the segments of barren ones.
