The root can be used to treat insomnia. It is used internally in the treatment of chronic diarrhoea, dysentery, stomach ache, manic-depressive states, cholecystosis, colic, bile duct cramps, GI cramps, urinary tract cramps, enterosis, epilepsy, gout, hepatosis, hysteria, insomnia, myosis, nervousness, nymphomania, pains, paralysis, rheumatism, tremors, urethrosis and water retention. |
