A vine sturdy, terete or flat-columnar, 2-10 cm in diameter. Surface red-brown, with longitudinal and deep grooves.

Medicinal Use
The decoction of stem is useful for treating pain in the waist and knees, numbness in the extremities, arthralgia, irregular menstruation, and amenorrhea, aplastic anemia and leucopenia.
