A deciduous creeping vine with twining stems and white flowers. Roots large, thick, intertwined and purple.

Medicinal Use
A decoction of dried roots are used for treating impotence, frequent urination, infertility, irregular menstruation and for pain in the lower back and knees. It is also useful in depression and rheumatism.
