Description |

An evergreen tree that reaches up to 10 meters high. Leaves are oval, whole and fluffy white. Flowers white, are grouped. Fruits are ovoid of 1 cm in diameter containing a seed. Deep incisions are made in the trunk of the tree from which the grayish color sap exudes. When the resinous lump becomes hard and brittle, it is collected from the bark. |

Benzoin oil can be used for bronchitis, coughs, colds, catarrh, wounds, acne and eczema. It is also useful in psoriasis, rheumatism, chest pain, arthritis, nervous tension, depression, stress, PMS, muscle pains, chilblains, rashes and mouth ulcers. |
