A small to medium-sized deciduous tree, about 12 m. in height and 1.35 m. in girth, with fairly straight to crooked trunk. Bark grey or brown, deeply cracked; leaves pinnately trifoliolate: leaflets coriaceous; flowers in short fascicled racemes, white or pink, somewhat fragrant; pods flat, light brown, 2-5 seeded.
