A medium-sized to large tree up to 45 m tall, bole up to 100(-150) cm in diameter, often fluted, bark surface shallowly fissured, pale grey, inner bark bright orange. Leaflets (3-)5, lanceolate to ovate, glabrous or pubescent on the veins only, petioluled, median leaflet 5-13 cm x 2.5-6 cm, with 9-12 pairs of lateral veins. Cymes arranged in large panicles which are terminal or axillary in the upper leaf axils; calyx 3-4 mm long, almost truncate to minutely 5-toothed, corolla pale yellowish to purplish, glabrous to sparsely pubescent inside. Fruit subglobose to pear-shaped, 6-12 mm long, blackish when mature. |
