A climber or epiphytic shrub. Leaves distichous, elliptical to oblong, 9-30 cm x 4-12 cm, base rounded to cuneate, apex long tipped, margin entire, with 2-6 pairs of lateral veins and prominent reticulation below, 3-veined at base, rusty pubescent below, stipules up to 8 mm long. Figs solitary or paired, globose, 10 mm in diameter, hispidulous, ripening orange to reddish-brown. Flowers with 4 tepals, male flowers with free or shortly connate tepals and 1 stamen, female flowers sessile or stipitate, tepals connate to halfway. |
