An erect or creeping, very variable shrub, up to 2 m long, non-epiphytic. Leaves mostly crenate-serrate, 2—26 cm x 1—12 cm. Infructescences axillary, with 1—5 fruits. Fruit a fig, 8—13 mm diameter, greenish-white to red.
