A succulent, creeping or floating herb, when floating the stems are supported by spongy vesicles (0.5-1.5 in. long) situated below leaf bases. Leaves alternate, obovate or oblanceolate; flowers white, solitary, axillary; capsule woody, linear cylindric (0.5-1.5 in. long); seeds numerous. |
