A perennial flowering plant, grow upto 60 cm. Stems are woody at the base but have herbaceous branches. Leaves are narrow and stalkless and thie colour varies from green to grey-blue or purple. Single flowers have 5 petals and vary from white to pink to purple in colour. Petals are generally clawed or serrated. The fruit is in the form of a capsule and contains many small seeds.
