Description |

A tree that grows to a height of 9m with a girth of 15cm. Leaves are compound, spiral, and exstipulate. Rachis is 15cm long with 3–4 pairs of folioles. Petiolules are 1.1cm long. Folioles are asymmetrical, 8cm × 4.3cm – 7.5cm × 4cm – 5.7cm × 3.8cm, and show 10 pairs of secondary nerves. Blade is minutely tipped at the apex. Gynaecium is gland-dotted and hairy. Fruits are a ripe golden yellow fruit, sour, with a yellow furry skin, and whitish pulp surrounding several greenish-black seeds. |

Used as a remedy for bronchitis (dried unripe fruits and dried sliced roots); as a hair wash to remove dandruff and to preserve the hair colour (decoction of the leaves). |
