A very spiny shrub or treelet grows up to 6m tall. Blade is 9.4cm × 6 cm. Fruit pedicel is 1.5cm long, and the fruit is 2cm in diameter. Petiole is 1.4cm long; there are 11 pairs of secondary nerves below, 5.5cm × 5cm – 4.9cm × 3.7cm – 7.3cm × 5cm –9.4cm × 6cm – 5.5cm × 5cm. Leaves similar to Citrus and are notched at the tip. Flowers are 1.5cm long. Calyx splits onto two irregular lobes. Stamens are joined into a tube.
Used to treat lung disorders, probably because of their essential oils which irritate the bronchial mucosa and stimulate the movement of bronchial villosities, and to treat rheumatism (leaf oil).; mixed with alcohol and applied externally for skin problems in children (leaves).
