Bark pale, often silvery brown, with dark grey or blackish parts, exfoliating in small scales; leaves aromatic when crushed, ovate, cuneate, glabrous above and pubescent below, especially on the nerves; flowers greenish white, in terminal corymbose panicles; fruit globose, purple to black, larger and more verrucose than that of P. latifolia. |
