A treelet; leaves are trifoliate and exstipulate. The petiole is slender and 12cm long. The folioles are 6cm × 3cm – 13cm × 5cm, papery, and show 7–10 pairs of secondary nerves. The flowers are large and yellow, show a conspicuous androecium, and bear long, spidery stamens. The fruits are caper-like and up to 2.5cm long on top of 5–9cm-long pedicels.
