Description |

Annual plant. Stem ascending, 4-angled, branched, not swollen and not rough at nodes. Light-head glandular hairs. Leaves opposite, ovate, lanceolate, densely velvety beneath, erect-haired. Flowers light-yellow or pink, 25-35 mm long in whorls. Upper lip helmet-shaped, erect. Lower lip 3-lobed, median lobe longer than broad and the largest. 4-8 flowers in pseudo-whorl. Calyx campanulate, narrow, 10-veind and 5 subequal teeth 2-4 mm ending in a bristle spine. Fruit 4-achene, ovoid, 3 mm x 2 mm, dull. |
