Antagonistic
An antagonistic agent is one which opposes the action of some other agent or medicine, especially the toxic effects of alkaline poisons.

Amaranthus spinosus Antidote, astringent, diaphoretic, emmenagogue, emollient, febrifuge, emmenagogue, galactogogue, alleviates spasms and antagonist ic to hyperactive effects of amphetamines (plant); laxative (root and leaf).
Fagonia cretica Alleviates spasms, antiviral, stimulates the cardiovascular system and antagonist ic to the effect of amphetamine (aerial part); bitter astringent, tonic, antiseptic and febrifuge (plant)
Zanthoxylum limonella Antiinflammatory, anesthetic and "antagonist ic " (fruit’s essential oil); bitter and
aromatic (bark); astringent, stimulant and digestive (pericarp)
