An antagonistic agent is one which opposes the action of some other agent or medicine, especially the toxic effects of alkaline poisons.

Amaranthus spinosus

Antidote, astringent, diaphoretic, emmenagogue, emollient, febrifuge, emmenagogue, galactogogue, alleviates spasms and antagonistic to hyperactive effects of amphetamines (plant); laxative (root and leaf).
