A corn is a localized thickening of the skin due to pressure. Corns usually develop on parts of the feet that don't bear weight, such as the tops and sides of toes. Corns can be painful when pushed or may cause a dull ache. Corns occur in frequently due to shoes that don't fit properly; toe deformities, such as hammer toe or claw toe; high heeled shoes; rubbing against a seam or stitch inside the shoe and socks that don't fit properly. |
