Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the nasal passages. It is usually associated with watery nasal discharge and itching of the nose and eyes. The other symptoms may include headache, sneezing, coughing, wheezing, stuffy nose (nasal congestion), tearing eyes and sore throat. The allergic rhinitis may be perennial or seasonal. Seasonal symptoms usually are caused by airborne pollens such as tree, grass and ragweed pollens.
