Health Remedies - Cystitis |
|
|
Cystitis is an inflammation or infection of the urinary bladder. Cystitis occurs in urinary tract infections when bacteria enter the urinary tract through the urethra and begin to multiply. Most of the bacterial cystitis is caused by eschericia coli (E.coli). Very rarely, it may occur due to other microbes such as virus or fungi. Most commonly it affects women, but can affect all age groups from either sex. The classic symptoms of cystitis include a frequent, urgent need to urinate and a painful burning sensation upon urination. Other symptoms are cloudy or blood-tinged urine, pelvic pressure, lower abdominal pain, fever, pain in the lower back, shaking chills etc. Few factors such as pregnancy, diabetes, kidney stones, and unhygienic toilet and sexual practices may trigger cystitis. |
