Health Remedies - Cardiomyopathy
Cardiomyopathy is a weakening of the heart muscle or a change in heart muscle structure. The heart muscle eventually becomes enlarged or abnormally thick or rigid. As cardiomyopathy progresses, the heart becomes more weaker and less able to pump blood through the body. This can lead to heart failure, arrhythmias , fluid buildup in the lungs or legs, and rarely, endocarditis (a bacterial infection of the lining of the heart). Cardiomyopathy may be hereditary or caused due to damage to the heart from a heart attack, high blood pressure, or a viral infection. It is a leading cause of heart failure and the most common reason for needing a heart transplant.
