Angina Pectoris is a accumulation-like tightness or pain in the chest due to ischemia of the heart muscle. The pain is usually experienced under or to the left of the sternum (breastbone) and radiates to the left shoulder and down the upper arm; less frequently, it spreads to the right shoulder. It usually occurs on exertion and is relieved by rest. Angina pectoris is often a prelude to a heart attack and is a primary symptom of coronary artery disease.
To improve the appetite and strengthen the digestive system, relieve symptoms such as abdominal bloating, indigestion, nausea and vomiting (leaves and stem); chest congestion, diarrhoea and headaches, in the treatment of angina pains (leaves); for cancer (plant).
In the treatment of stuffiness sensation and pain in the chest, angina pectoris, pleurisy, bronchitis, diarrhoea and tenesmus in cases of dysentery (plant)
