A diuretic is a substance that increases the secretion, flow, and expulsion of urine.

Plants having 'Diuretic' activity

Tadehagi triquetrum

Diuretic and antipyretic (decoction of whole plant); tonic (leaves); febrifuge (decoction of roots).

Tagetes erecta

The whole herb is anthelmintic, aromatic, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, sedative and stomachic; laxative and kills nematodes (root); antibacterial (against Gram-positive types) (flower extract)

Tagetes lucida

Analgesic, anaesthetic, antispasmodic, antibacterial, antidote, candidicide, digestive, diuretic, febrifuge, fungicide, hypotensive, myorelaxant, nematicide, narcotic, sedative, hallucinogenic, stimulant and pediculicide (leaves and whole plant)

Tagetes minuta

Anthelmintic, antispasmodic, aromatic, diaphoretic, diuretic, purgative and stomachic (whole plant)

Tagetes patula

Aromatic, digestive, diuretic and sedative (whole plant); carminative and refereshing (decoction of the flowers).

Tamarix gallica

Taraxacum officinale
