A medium sized evergreen tree up to 18 m tall. Leaves paripinnate 20-40 cm long, leaflets 2 to 4 pairs, elliptic or elliptic-oblong, coriaceous, margins entire, apex rounded. Flowers minute, yellowish green, either male or bisexual, fascicled in spike like axillary racemes 7.5 to 12.5 cm long. Fruits berry, globose or ovoid, hard skinned. Seeds brown, irregularly elliptic, slightly compressed, oily, enclosed in a succulent aril. |

Also used to treat pruritus, adenitis, ripening boils, notalgia, arthralgia, malaria. Seed oil is used to treat pruritus, acne, dermatosis, ulcers, cephalgia, trichopathy. |
