An emetic is a substance that induces nausea and vomiting. It is used when a substance such as poison or toxin has been ingested and must be expelled from the body immediately.

Antilactagogue, diuretic, emetic, emmenagogue, emollient,laxative, purgative, vermifuge (whole plant).

Momordica charantia

Nerium oleander

Laxative (root bark); alleviates spasms, antibacterial, hypothermic, musculotropic, stimulates the central nervous and cardiovascular systems, anthelmintic, emetic, expectorant and stimulates the uterus (plant)
