Health Remedies - Uterine Prolapse

Product Categories

Uterine prolapse is a descent or herniation of the uterus into or beyond the vagina. Usually uterus is held in place by the muscles and ligaments that make up the pelvic floor. Uterine prolapse results when pelvic floor muscles and ligaments weaken, providing inadequate support for the uterus. Uterine prolapse causes a variety of symptoms such as feeling of heaviness or pressure in the pelvis, pain in the pelvis, abdomen or lower back, pain during intercourse, protrusion of tissue from the opening of the vagina, recurrent bladder infections, and difficulty with urination. Symptoms may be worsened by prolonged standing or walking. Uterine prolapse is caused due to the factors which weaken the pelvic floor including loss of muscle tone as the result of aging, injury during childbirth, obesity, chronic coughing or straining and chronic constipation.
