To treat inflammation of the eyes, giddiness and gleet, in urinary maladies and diarrhea (powdered); skin disorders and external ulcers, for cleaning teeth, in the removal of tapeworms and other intestinal parasites, to treat liver disorders (root decoction).

Taeniasis, a tonic for the liver (fruit pulp)

Butea monosperma

For dysentery, diarrhea, phthisis and bleeding within the bladder and stomach (gum); as a laxative (seed); in hemorrhoids and boils (leaf); as an anthelmintic, specially useful in the treatment of roundworms and tapeworms (seed oil); diabetes, gallbladder stone, sore throat and leucorrhea.

Citrullus lanatus

As a tonic, in the treatment of cancer, bed wetting and urinary infections, paralyzes tapeworms and roundworms (seed); in strangury and urinary complaints (fresh juice); effective in the treatment of dropsy and renal stones (fruit); in diarrhoea (pericarp); in diabetes (rind of the fruit).

Cucumis melo

As a tonic, diuretic , in urinary tract infections and to expel the tapeworms or other parasites from the body (seed); skin maladies (fruit pulp). The fruits is used as a cooling light cleanser or moisturiser for the skin. It is also used as a first aid treatment for burns and abrasions.

Cucumis sativus

Cucumber seeds possess similar properties to those of the allied Pumpkin (Cucurbita Pepo, Linn.) which are distinctly diuretic, but mainly employed as a very efficient taeniacide. The leaf juice is emetic, it is used to treat dyspepsia in children. The fresh fruit is used internally in the treatment of blemished skin, heat rash etc, whilst it is used externally as a poultice for burns, sores etc and also as a cosmetic for softening the skin.

Cucurbita maxima

Strangury, urinary affections and gonorrhea (plant); neuralgia and migraine (seed oil). As a remedy for intestinal tapeworms and roundworms , the seeds are less potent than the root of Dryopteris felix-mas, but safer for pregnant women, debilitated patients and children. The oil from the seed is used as a nerve tonic. The fruit pulp is used as a soothing poultice on burns, inflammations and boils.

For the expulsion of tapeworm

Cyrtomium fortunei

In the treatment of hookworm, tapeworm, ascariasis, filiariasis, acute infectious hepatitis, various bleeding ailments, as a preventative for influenza and measles (decoction)

Dryopteris cristata

For tape worms (male fern); in the treatment of internal haemorrhage, uterine bleeding, mumps, feverish illnesses, abscesses, boils, carbuncles and sores (root)

Dryopteris filix-mas

Destroying intestinal worms and as a fungicide (on the skin). The male fern is one of the most popular and effective treatments for tape worms. The root contains an oleoresin that paralyses tapeworms and other internal parasites and has been used as a worm expellent. The root is also taken internally in the treatment of internal haemorrhage, uterine bleeding, mumps and feverish illnesses. Externally, the root is used as a poultice in the treatment of abscesses, boils, carbuncles and sores.

Embelia ribes

Snakebite antidote, skin and chest diseases and fever (dried fruit decoction), for diarrhea (root); to expel tape worms (seeds).

Morus nigra

In the treatment of colds, influenza, eye infections and nosebleeds (leaves); to relieve toothache (barks tincture); for urinary incontinence, tinnitus, premature greying of the hair and constipation in the elderly (fruit); asthma, coughs, bronchitis, oedema, hypertension and diabetes (root bark); to expel tape worms (bark)
